My name is Cliff Nelson, and I have been practicing law for over 30 years.

I've been associated with the Law Office of Michael H. Joseph

I grew up in a family where my dad was a lawyer

and I think there was like an expectation for me

to follow in his footsteps.

Although I went to law school, I didn't really follow in his footsteps.

He was a big firm type lawyer that did transactional work,

and I never really had an interest in doing that.

While I was in law school, I clerked as a student law clerk

for a federal judge, and I got more interested in litigation and trial work.

When I got out of law school, that was the path that I took.

I'm very fortunate that I've been able to pursue

this type of law representing people over the course of my career.

I've really enjoyed being a lawyer.
